IRRIGATION: Centre Pivot

SOIL TYPE: Sandy loam to sandy clay loam - Avalon soil | Alfisol

TREATMENTS: Pre-plant:

1. 500-750 kg/ha Gromax and a 2 3 6 (30) N,P,K mixture at 200 kg/ha in the planting rows.

2. Agri-balance was mixed at 10l/ha with Agri-zinc at 3L/ha and applied via the center   pivot.

POST EMERGENCE

  1. 5kg/ha of MAP in the planting rows after emergence applied as a spray.

  2. FOLIAR SPRAYS

    Agri-Copper Chelate at 2L/ha during the V4-V6 stage.

  3. Agri-Boost applied at 5L/ha with 3l/ha of Agri-fulbor at flowering (R1/R2 stages)

  4. Agri- Boost applied at 5L/ha and Agri-zinc at 2l/ha at the beginning of seed formation (R5 stage)

RESULTS

2010/11 season before treatment:  Yield 2.0 and 2,5 ton/ha, protein: 36 and 37%.

2012/12 season after treatment: Yield increased to 3.8 and 4.0, and protein to 38%.
